The Alliance Theatre presents a reimagining of the events leading up to the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in The Mountaintop, written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Katori Hall. Set on April 3, 1968, the story unfolds in Dr. King’s room at the Lorraine Motel, where he encounters a mysterious room service attendant named Camae, played by Jade Payton. Through their conversation, they explore profound themes of hope, fear, and legacy. Directed by Tinashe Kajese-Bolden, the production features Rob Demery as Dr. King.
