The Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) has announced that Catherine Mallyon will step down as Executive Director, leaving the Company at Christmas 2023, after eleven years in post. Catherine’s final day will be Friday 22 December.

Singer, musician and former Scissor Sisters front man Jake Shears will make his BBC Proms debut by joining Rufus Wainwright for Want Two on Tuesday 5 September, 10.15pm at the Royal Albert Hall, alongside the BBC Concert Orchestra and led by conductor Sarah Hix.

London Theatre Week: Tickets From £35 for The Phantom of The Opera. Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera has returned to its home, His Majesty’s Theatre London. 

The new musical For Tonight by Shenelle Salcido and Spencer Williams plays a one-night-only staged concert on September 5 at the Adelphi Theatre. Lead producer Blair Russell (Slave Play, Lizard Boy) discusses the often circuitous journey the show, and many shows like it, have faced to make it from an idea on the page to the West End stage.

Over 80 Operation Mincemeat fans watched the show dressed up as characters as part of #OperationInterestingMan, making up almost a quarter of the audience over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Based on the best-selling Japanese manga series of the same name by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata, this ground breaking musical (Winner Best Musical, Korea Musical Awards) has a score by Frank Wildhorn (‘Jekyll & Hyde’, 4 years on Broadway, ‘Dracula’, ‘Bonnie & Clyde’) with lyrics by Jack Murphy and book by Ivan Menchell.

London Theatre Week: See The Little Big Things for just £25! An extraordinary true story about an ordinary young man. 

Emmy Award-winning actress and singer Hannah Waddingham will present an evening of orchestral works from film, television and gaming, from titles including Harry Potter, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and World of Warcraft. The BBC Concert Orchestra led by their new Chief Conductor, Anna-Maria Helsing, will be joined by Mezzo Soprano Felicity Buckland and The Huddersfield Choral Society.

This September, the curtains will rise for an immersive spectacle that fuses theatre, sport and technology with the launch of Rumble in the Jungle Rematch.
