In an evolving year of children’s theatre, the themes of climate change and sustainability reign supreme, with a lean towards immersive and inclusive theatre with excellent changes in the industry meaning prior access resources are provided as a matter of course. These resources are often made available in the form of helpful visual guides, sensory and symbol maps, all of which are brilliantly inclusive for those with neurodiversity or additional needs.

Adapted from Tove Jansson’s short story The Fir Tree, the creative team at Jackson’s Lane have collaborated with organisation Moomin Characters and the Finnish Institute in the UK and Ireland, to produce a festive spectacle, concerned with wonder, discovery, joy and the pure kindness of giving.

Comedy Club 4 Kids Christmas Cracker Show at The Arts Depot is a family comedy show aimed at inclusive comedy, without the rude bits and swearing, for children aged 6+. The Christmas Cracker Show featured comic compere Abigoliah Schamaun, improviser Bobbles The Elf, Magician Nutty Noah and comedian Ben Van Der Velde, for one hour of festive fun.

It’s the show that London children’s theatre goers have been waiting for this festive season, Room on the Broom by theatre company Tall Stories. Well known in their field for physical storytelling, Tall Stories promise to retell the classic Donaldson and Scheffler spooky and sweet special with glee.

Nick Cope’s family fun tunes are a pleasure in hear in-person, heightened by the added commentary about the song writing style which further enriched the show by addressing elements of morals, ethics, and a reminder to hold dear our key priorities.
