Vest-Pocket Productions presents the world premiere of Mark Scharf's new play, The Monroe Doctrine, at the Baltimore Theatre Project. The story centers on Real Monroe, a poet and adjunct professor grappling with personal and familial challenges, as his estranged sons arrive for a critical family gathering. Directed by Ann Turiano, the production features a strong ensemble cast, including Nick Cherone, John Covaleskie, and Makeima Elise Freeland. The play explores themes of success, failure, and the resilience of intergenerational bonds against the backdrop of 21st-century America.
