Kati Neiheisel returns to Pangea in a new show celebrating Julie London, Billboard Magazine's Female Artist of the Year in 1955, 1956 and 1957. London was known for her smooth, smoky and sultry delivery of jazz-inspired tunes, many of which were written by her husband, jazz pianist Bobby Troup, best known for writing the song “(Get Your Kicks on) Route 66.” The show also features songs written by Caroll Coates, Arthur Hamilton, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Willie Nelson, and more! Directed by Lina Koutrakos, with Musical Director Gregory Toroian on piano, Skip Ward on bass, David Silliman on drums, shows are at 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 24; Thursday, September 26; and Friday, October 18.
“Honey-voiced Kati is building up a reputation…using that gorgeous (no, really gorgeous) instrument to carry the audience away on a river of melody…” ~ Stephen Mosher, BroadwayWorld Cabaret
"Her voice impresses...it’s her deep tones and strong ending sustained ones that are especially 'note'-worthy." ~ Rob Lester, Edge Media Network
