Outcry Youth Theatre presents a brand-new musical adaptation of L. M. Montgomery's Anne of Green Gables, with book and lyrics by Jason Johnson-Spinos and music by Michael Ramirez. Anne Shirley, an 11-year-old orphan girl, is sent by mistake to Matthew and Marilla Cuthbert, siblings who had intended to adopt a boy to help them on their farm in Avonlea, Canada. This world-premiere musical of one of the best-selling books of all time follows Anne's adventures as she grows up in a quaint small town filled with memorable characters. With her larger-than-life personality (and vocabulary) Anne learns valuable lessons as she faces challenges both big and small, while also teaching Matthew and Marilla how to become parents and better people.
