Back in St. Louis for the first time in 20 years! The company’s repertory spans the eight decades of Martha Graham’s revolutionary career that made her one of the seminal artists of the 20th century and forever transformed the way dancers move. The program will showcase the depth and beauty of her earth-centered, emotionally acute choreography–including the beloved classic set to Aaron Copland’s transcendent music, Appalachian Spring. Graham’s underlying power to inspire is spot-lit by the new Lamentation Variations, reflections by today’s choreographers on her iconic Lamentation solo.
