Absurdist. Deconstructionist. Sagittarian. The works of award-winning playwright Nicholas Garelick have delighted audiences throughout Houston for years. A graduate of the University of Houston and former President of Scriptwriters/Houston, Nicholas came into the theatre world through the ancient medium of Dungeons & Dragons, and his skill at world-building and an altered view on society have led to some of the most thought-provoking mirth since jesters became obsolete with the invention of the flute.
Presented here in a theatrical symphony of laughter and passion are a specially curated selection of some of his favorite short works. Filled with boundless hilarity, heart-wrenching beauty, and an almost post-sane level of the preposterous, this limited engagement is not one to be missed!
Included are some of Nicholas’ most iconic works, including Catching Falling Stars, Death Station Dance Revolution, and Map of the Atoms of the Universe, along with some brand new material, and favorites that have yet to be performed for a Houston audience.
With an unparalleled company of actors (Kacie Adams, Audrey Burkhart, Dano Colon, Ty Fisher, Aaron Garrett, Elizabeth Grant, Bailey Hampton, Renata Smith, and Todd Thigpen) and direction from the adequate Lauren Hainley, there is a non-zero chance this will be the best {noun} you've had since [life event]!
