“Right this minute, what matters most is that bean, pork and cheese burrito they’re making for me. Little North Hollywood all-night outdoor Mexican food stand, God bless you.”
- Woman in Los Otros
by Ellen Fitzhugh and Michael John LaChiusa
The uniquely Southern California experience is celebrated in the candid, intimate song cycles of a Mexican-American man growing up in Carlsbad and a San Diego native reminiscing of her encounters with the Mexican community. This is an unconventional musical with a masterful interplay of narrative and melody that remains true to its characters. Their stories become our stories: adventurous and romantic, honest and surprising and resonant.
Ages: Recommended for children age 13+
Children 6 and under who may cry or fidget are never admitted.
