French phenom Lionel Bringuier conducts Faure's divine choral-orchestral masterpiece that focuses on his view on the acceptance of a peaceful death. George Walker was among the greatest composers to call the Garden State home, and it was Lilacs, a passionate work for soprano and orchestra, that garnered him the Pulitzer Prize in 1996. In Le Tombeau de Couperin, Ravel draws on the woodwind section, particularly the oboe to reflect on the lives of friends lost during World War I.
