Metheny's musical style blends progressive, contemporary jazz, and Latin jazz. In addition to being the only artist to win a Grammy in 10 different categories, he has earned three gold records, and is a member of the DownBeat Hall of Fame, the Royal Swedish Academy of Music, and the Missouri Music Hall of Fame.
