Fiddler on the Roof at Bergen County Academies

“Tradition. Without our traditions, our lives would be as shaky as… as a fiddler on the roof!” Bergen County Academies would like to announce that students from all over Bergen County will be performing in the BCA winter musical, Fiddler On The Roof! This classic musical is set in the year 1905. With witty humor, we follow Tevye and the tale of the villagers of Anatevka as they struggle to find their place in the modern, evolving world while clinging to the safety of their “Traditions!” This universal story is widely accepted to be one of the greatest musicals of all time because of its popular music, emotional plot, and loveable characters. The BCA theatre department proudly invites you to see this take on this beloved musical on March 2 at 6:30 pm, March 3 at 7pm, and March 4 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets can be purchased for $15 students/senior citizens, and $18 general admission at bergen.org/theatre. Bergen County Academies, ranked one of the top public high schools in the nation, is divided into seven unique “academies.” The Academy of Visual and Performing Arts - Theatre Concentration (AVPA-T) provides significant opportunities for all students to develop imaginative, technical, and performance skills as well as a sophisticated appreciation of the work of the theatre artist.
