This critically acclaimed cabaret show by award winning vocalist Lucille Carr-Kaffashan features the songs of male singer-songwriters who give voice to the feelings and experiences that men in our culture are typically discouraged from expressing. The songs of outstanding artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Leonard Cohen, John Legend, Darius Rucker, and others are woven together in this deep, and deeply felt, show. Three performances: Friday, September 27 at 7 pm, Thursday, October 17 at 7 pm, Sunday, October 27, at 3:30 pm
"Lucille Carr-Kaffashan is a songwriter's best friend...she truly inhabits a song, expressing meanings not just vocally, but in fluid facial expressions and defining body language." Bart Greenberg, Cabaret Scenes, May 2019
"Her use of her compelling and unforced lower register enhanced her appropriation of material written and originally performed by men, while leaving her singular interpretation of lyrics intact...Musically, the show was nearly perfect." Robert Windeler, BistroAwards.com, June 2019
