A celebration of the first Mamie & Jimmie Collier Writing Fellowship winner, Nathalie Dortonne! We are thrilled to announce that Nathalie's script - La Sirene - has been selected as the winner of the fellowship. Her captivating story about a disgraced detective with PTSD has wowed our judges with its nuanced portrayal of Black women, first-gen immigrant experience, and Haitian spirituality.

To celebrate Nathalie's achievement, we are hosting a Table Reading of her script on Tuesday, April 18th at 7 pm at The Producer's Club in New York City. Following the reading, there will be a Talk Back session moderated by our Board member, Cheryl Davis, a 2023 Writers Guild of America Award winner, and Emmy-nominated TV Writer. A reception will follow the event, giving you an opportunity to network and meet like-minded creatives in the industry.

All attendees will receive a gift bag courtesy of the Entertainment+Arts Alliance (EAA)

Established in 2022, the Mamie and Jimmie Collier Writing Fellowship was created in loving memory of Susan-Sojourna (Emmy® nominee) & Yasmin Collier's parents to honor the legacy of activists and lovers of the arts. The fellowship seeks to provide an opportunity for aspiring writers to hone their craft and receive mentorship from industry professionals with a track record of success.

The Mamie & Jimmie Collier Fellowship is fiscally sponsored by the Entertainment+Arts Alliance (EAA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit run entirely by pro bono professionals and volunteers.
