Miro Magloire's New Chamber Ballet at Mark Morris Dance Center

Choreographer Miro Magloire presents his New Chamber Ballet in the opening of its 2023-24 season.  The program consists of four one-act ballets set to music by Maurice Ravel, Pierre Boulez, and contemporary composers Beat Furrer and Wong Foo Jeng.   The ensemble of six female dancers perform, as always, to music played live by violinist Doori Na and pianist Melody Fader.  As noted in The New Yorker: "Magloire has made a name for himself by creating sophisticated evenings of dance that use contemporary music in intriguing ways."
