SOUTH
~FINDING HOME AWAY FROM HOME~
An acoustic musical written & performed by Florencia Iriondo
Following sold-out performances at Nuyorican Poets Cafe, 54 Below and workshops at New York Stage & Film, The O’Neill Theater Center, the unconventional musical about the place –and time– called home, comes to Soho Playhouse for its Off-Broadway debut. With enchanting storytelling and nostalgic South American folk-pop music, SOUTH is an uplifting piece written and performed by Florencia Iriondo.
“In the middle of the pandemic my artistic soul was empty. Then I was introduced to Florencia and spent the most joyful summer working on the piece with her. It touched my soul– and everyone who got to share the joy of her artistry.” - Chris Burney, Former Artistic Director NYSAF, Former Artistic Producer Second Stage.
