SATURDAY, SEPT 24 - You Are Not Alone: An Uplifting Show About Depression, unites improvisers and artists that battle depression and mental illness in their day-to-day lives. Improvisers create scenes inspired by stand-up, poetry, and stories written about personal experiences and show that sometimes laughter really is the best medicine.For nearly 8 years at New York's premier place for improv, the Magnet Theater, You Are Not Alone has spread awareness and aimed to correct misconceptions about mental health, all while providing an entertaining, fun, and safe space. Now, YANA is partnering with NAMI-NYC to help provide mental health assistance to those who cannot afford regular therapy, taking place in the form of classes, support groups, education events, and more!For their show on Saturday September 24th at 6pm, You Are Not Alone is proud to feature stories from Catherine Montessi, Betsy Rammizzini, and Brooke Alexander. This will be YANAs first show with fan favorite performer, Ro Rovito, to their cast of improvisers.
