Pittsburgh Festival Opera presents Adriana Lecouvreur on September 8 at Carnegie Music Hall. This concert opera, conducted by Christopher Franklin, features a stellar cast including Csilla Boross as Adriana, Victor Starsky as Maurizio, and Marianne Cornetti as La Principessa di Bouillon. The opera, composed by Francesco Cilea, is inspired by the life of the French actress Adrienne Lecouvreur, exploring themes of jealousy and betrayal set against a backdrop of beautiful music. Artistic Director Cornetti has emphasized the importance of bringing this dramatic tale to Pittsburgh, ensuring a captivating experience for the audience.
