The Wheeling Symphony Orchestra welcomes audiences to Music Under the Stars at Oglebay Park on September 1, marking a 95-year tradition. This evening will feature Broadway tunes performed by Broadway star Siri Howard and local talent Amanda McGovern, alongside WSO Principal Trumpet John Winkler, who will showcase Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto. The concert includes a diverse program of classic and contemporary musical selections, as well as a nod to the WSO’s inaugural concert with Brahms’ Hungarian Dance no. 5. Music Director John Devlin highlights the significance of this event in celebrating the symphony's legacy and commitment to community and young artists.
