Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel is a charming opera that follows the journey of siblings Hansel and Gretel as they traverse a mysterious forest, facing various challenges and the wicked Witch. With themes of sibling love and resilience, the opera showcases the duo's bravery as they strive to overcome adversity and find their way home. Conducted by Stephanie Rhodes Russell, this production features Sarah Coit as Hansel, Maureen McKay as Gretel, and Frederick Ballentine as the Witch, promising an engaging experience for families and audiences of all ages. The opera will be performed at the Janet Quinney Lawson Capitol Theatre from January 18 to January 26, 2025.
