The Overtime Theater proudly presents Against the Grain, an important new drama written by Hill Country playwright and actor, David R. Remschel and directed by Jeffery Hensel. A high school football team is shaken to its core when an email is sent out accusing their beloved coach of unthinkable behavior. Three of the players must navigate intense revelations, strained friendships, and impossible decisions to deal with the fallout. This script is brilliantly powerful, so we warn our audience that this play shows underage drinking, uses frequent adult language, and features frank discussions of sexual assault. Performances run August 18 – September 9, 2023, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, with one Sunday matinee on September 3 at 3 pm. The Pay-What-You-Will Night is Thursday, August 24 at 8 pm. The Overtime Theater is located at 5409 Bandera Road, Suite 205 on San Antonio’s northwest side. General admission tickets are $18, or $12 for SATCO members, military, senior citizens and students with a valid ID.
