The Resting Place is a provocative and intense look at an American Family in a cloudburst of crisis—filled with raw humor, piercing darkness and fierce love. Ashlin Halfnight (Magic Virgin Play Festival 2017) addresses familial obligation, guilt, our own complacency and culpability in wrongdoing and asks, how do we reconcile our love for someone with the knowledge of their horrifying transgression?

San Francisco Playhouse Presents The World Premiere Of THE DAUGHTERS By Patricia Cotter

August 28, 2019 San Francisco Playhouse announced casting for the first production of their 2019/2020 Sandbox Series of World Premieres: The Daughters, written by Patricia Cotter. Jessica Holt will direct the world premiere production, presented at the Creativity Theater.

Theatrical Innovator Incubator Launches With Six Teams

January 29, 2019 PlayGround announced this evening the six teams of Bay Area artists selected as finalists for the inaugural PlayGround Innovator Incubator. The new year-long initiative will provide a comprehensive and integrated suite of more than $50,000 in tools and resources -- including fiscal sponsorship, one-on-one mentoring, free and discounted performance and rehearsal space, and co-marketing -- in support of the development of six new innovative theatre companies and the launch of their first season.
