Becoming at Theatre Deli

Two beings from two different countries, different backgrounds, heritage, but one city - London.Becoming explores cultural, political and religious differences and its impact on our daily lives. The need of finding ones identity in a modern day.The Untamed Hunger inspired us to ask some questions to which old answers can not be applied anymore.4 seasons, 4 moons. Some decisions that had to be made. A sacred ritual. One circle, one dimension. The beginning of unexpected and intuitive journey to the unknown.Our project started more than a year ago as an experiment by sharing a one minute video each day for a month. As a result the concept naturally evolved from a video poetry expression into theatrical essay.Shift+Space is a great platform for new projects to be seen. Both having strong backgrounds in acting and performing arts. Weronika graduated from BA Acting CDT at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London and Andrea from BA Acting and Performing Arts at the TAI - Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. The Untamed Hunger inspired both artists to ask some questions to which old answers can not be applied anymore. As a result in 2021 those conversations planted a seed for their first theatrical proposal Becoming. This project shows how versatile both artists are not only as performers, but also as directors and writers.
