Penobscot Theatre is thrilled to present the world premiere of Ink. This is the true story of Mary Rowlandson, a preacher’s wife taken by the Indians in 1676. A hostage in the great native revolt known as King Phillip’s War, Mary returns from the enemy with her lips sealed. Forced into writing, she turns to James Printer, the Harvard-trained Nipmuc who saved her life and now must set her hateful words into type.
