  3. The History of Invulnerability

Superman—the man of steel—is invulnerable. Jerry Siegel, the creator of Superman, was exceedingly vulnerable. Siegel was one of many Jews who created the cartoon superheroes of the 1930s and 40s in response to the rise of Nazi Germany. Based on a true story, this intriguing play tells Siegel’s tumultuous story of creating and publishing Superman while intertwining the events of a world in strife, a place where even Superman has his limits.
